25 Year Old Charged With Possession Of Stolen Snowmobile – Name Released

(TAY TOWNSHIP) – On January 25, 2017 at approximately 2:03 a.m. members of the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a stolen snowmobile from a residence on Armstrong Street in Port McNicoll, Tay Township, ON.

As a result of further investigation, officer located the stolen snowmobile a short time later at a residence on Line six in Oro Medonte Township, ON. Michael GIGNAC (age 25) of Tay Township has been charged with:

Possession of property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on March 30, 2017 in Midland, ON.
