24 Year Old Drunk Driver Caught In Clinton

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – A 24 year old Huron East resident has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol after he was stopped by police on May 16, 2015. At approximately 10:47 p.m. a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer stopped the driver of a Honda Civic on Kirk Street in Clinton after receiving information the driver had been earlier drinking alcohol.

Upon speaking with the driver the investigating officer noted the driver had alcohol on his breath. A roadside screening test was performed and the driver registered a fail. He was placed under arrest and was transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. He subsequently provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer Technician and both samples registered over the legal limit.

As a result, 24 year old Taylor PRIOR from Huron East has been charged with Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on June 22, 2015. He also received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and his motor vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
