On December 9th, 2015 at 10:10am police observed a male going southbound on a bicycle. This male was observed riding his bicycle in an unsafe manner. Police spoke to the male about this incident. As a result of the subsequent investigation, police determined the bicycle was stolen. Mark Billings, a 39 year old Guelph male, was charged with possession of stolen property under $5000 and possession of a controlled substance. He has a January 19, 2016 court date.
Impaired Driving Arrest
On December 10th, 2015 at 2:00 am., the Guelph Police conducted a traffic stop with a motor vehicle on Willow Road. Police spoke with the male driver and determined he was impaired by alcohol.
Owen O’Brien, 23 years of Acton has been charged with impaired driving, refuse breath sample and driving while suspended. He will appear in court on January 8, 2016.
A passenger in the vehicle, Timothy Williams, a 26 year old Guelph man, is alleged to have interfered with the police investigation and was charged with obstruct police and breaching his probation. He will appear in court on January 22, 2016.
