$2,200 Marijuana Bust

(Prince Edward County, ON)— On March 17, 2015 at 21:38pm officers with the Ontario Provincial Police Prince Edward County detachment were conducting a R.I.D.E check at the intersection of Bridge and Union Street, in the Town of Picton.

OPP stopped a motor vehicle and found that the driver was in possession of marihuana. A 29-year old male, David ZANTIGH of Milford, ON was charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. The street value of the seized drugs is estimated at $2,200.00.

The accused was released from police custody on an Appearance Notice to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Picton on April 22, 2015.
