(SOUTH BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) – On November 16, 2018 at 11:44 p.m. Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint on Highway 6 south of Wiarton. The motor vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 6 at high rates of speed and tailgating. Police located the motor vehicle and conducted a road-side screening breath test on the driver. The result of the test was a Fail” on the approved road-side screening device. The driver was arrested for driving with more than 80 milligrams (mg) of alcohol in his blood.
Police transported the accused to the Bruce Peninsula OPP detachment in Wiarton to complete a breath test. The results of the two suitable breath samples were over the legal limit of 80 mg of alcohol in 100 millilitres (ml) of blood.
