(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On December 13, 2014 the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 69 in Shawanaga First Nation. At approximately 3:20 p.m., a northbound grey Toyota was travelling faster than the posted speed limit. As a result of police investigation, Cannabis Marihuana and Hashish were seized.
Driver, Dillon MOORE, 21 years of age from Walden, ON, was arrested and has been charged with:
Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA).
2 counts of Possession of a Schedule II Substance as per the Controlled Drug and Substance Act (CDSA).
Driving motor vehicle with unsealed container of liquor contrary to the Liquor Licence Act of Ontario (LLA).
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on February 5, 2015.
