(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On August 27, 2016 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a traffic complaint about a 2003 Chevrolet in the Town of Fergus. Police located the vehicle on Bridge Street and spoke with the male driver.
While speaking with him, police believed that alcohol was consumed. A Roadside Screening Device test was administered which resulted in a fail. He arrested and transported to an OPP Operation Centre for further testing.
21-year-old Kurtis WEDGE of Grand Valley has been charged with Over 80 Mgs contrary to the Criminal Code. He is to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on September 16, 2016. His driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for a period of seven days as per statute.
