(TOWNSHIP OF SOUTHGATE, ON) – On August 6, 2017 at approximately 9:00 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of an unwanted male causing a disturbance on Victoria Street West in the Township of Southgate.
The male, who had been drinking alcohol, attended a property on Victoria Street West where he proceeded to yell profanities and utter threats at the property owner, a 60-year old male, known to him. The male left but returned a short time later and continued causing a disturbance.
Police attended and arrested the male who was found to have a concealed hammer in his possession.
21-year old Chance Arthur MILLER of the Township of Southgate was charged with causing a disturbance, uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose.
He was held for a bail hearing on August 7, 2017 and is scheduled to return to court in Owen Sound on August 24, 2017.
