(CALEDON, ON)- On September 24TH and 25th, the Traffic Service Unit from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), members from the Peel, Halton and York Regional Police Services, the Toronto and Orangeville Police Service, the Ministry of Transportation and Environment conducted a 2-day Commercial Safety Motor Vehicle Blitz in the Town of Caledon.
As a result of the blitz, 220 commercial motor vehicles were inspected by the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance inspectors from within the agencies listed above.
This is a summary of the charges and warnings that were laid:

Suspended/Unlicensed Drivers: 6

Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act Charges: 17
Dangerous Goods Charges: 1
Total Warnings: 73
Vehicles Placed out of service: 84
Licence Plate removal: 20 vehicles
