(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment received a report of a stolen tractor from a Lakeshore Road, Long Point, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Friday, June 17, 2016 at approximately 7:14 p.m., police were contacted by a concerned resident reporting a break and enter.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that between Friday, June 10, 2016 and Friday, June 17, 2016, unknowns attended the address and forcibly gained entry into a barn located on the property. Once inside, unknowns removed a 2011 John Deere 3038E tractor and a John Deere Gator 4×6.
The Gator 4X6 was later recovered on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at approximately 5:07 p.m., after an alert resident noticed it parked in the bushes of the Port Royal Cemetery.
The theft of the tractor is estimated at approximately $25,000 dollars.
