200,000 Break and Enters

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment is investigating a Break and Enter at a Robinson Street, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

Between Saturday, November 22, 2014 and Monday, November 24, 2014, unknowns attended Helping Others Thrift Store and gained entry. Once inside, unknowns removed a quantity of Canadian currency.

The OPP recognize that break and enters continue to remain an all-too common occurrence in Canada, with more than 200,000 reported to police annually of which 6 in 10 are residential. Another 30% are businesses and 10% are other locations such as sheds and detached garages.
