(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating the theft of $20 000 worth of scrap metal from a local business.
On October 27, 2014 the OPP attended a scrap metal business located on Killarney Bay Road in response to a break, enter and theft. Initial investigation indicated that entry was gained through the front gate by removing the lock.
Anyone having information on this crime or any others is asked to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Information can also be reported anonymously by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or by going to www.khcs.ca and submitting an anonymous tip online.
