$20,000 Snowmobile Stolen From Nile Road – Should Insurance Cover People That Leave Keys In Vehicles?

(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are investigating the recent theft of a snowmobile stolen from a Nile Road residence.

The police investigation has determined on January 6, 2018 the owner parked his snowmobile, a Yamaha Sidewinder, on the front yard of a home located on Nile Road. After leaving the machine unattended, with the keys in the ignition, an opportunistic thief came along and stole the machine. The sled was stolen sometime between 8:00 p.m. on January 6, 2018 and 8:00 a.m. on January 7, 2018.

The stolen snowmobile is described as a 2017 black & orange Yamaha Sidewinder valued at approximately $20,000.
