20 Year Old From Wingham In Hospital After Collision Near Molesworth – Name Released

(HURON EAST, ON) – The driver involved in a single motor vehicle collision that took place earlier this morning west of Molesworth remains in hospital with serious but stable injuries. Initially his injuries were believed to be life-threatening however his injuries are no longer considered to be life-threatening.

Shortly before 8:00 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth County Paramedic Services and Grey Township Fire Department personnel responded to the collision scene located on Jamestown Road just east of Adams Line.

Investigators have since determined the driver was travelling eastbound on Jamestown Road when he began to fishtail on the gravel road surface. He lost control of his vehicle and his Subaru Outback slammed into a tree on the south side of the road. The driver was able to escape from his vehicle before it caught on fire.

The lone occupant, has been identified as Jacob COLLISON, 20 years of age from Wingham.
