(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On October 26, 2017 at approximately 8:30 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road in the City of Guelph. The officer observed a male driving a 2017 Hyundai Elantra travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at 140 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
20-year-old Stefano D’AGATE of Brampton has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on December 20, 2017. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
