2 Vehicle Collision Sends 11 To Hospital

(ZORRA TOWNSHIP, ON.) – The Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to investigate a two vehicle, intersection related collision on the 37th Line and Road 96 in Zorra Township on Wednesday November 2, 2016.

On November 2, 2016 at approximately 12:30 p.m. police were called to the collision just east of Harrington in Zorra Township. A pick-up was travelling westbound on 37th Line, when it failed to yield to through traffic and struck a van which was travelling southbound on Road 96.

As a result of the collision, a total of eleven people were transported to area hospitals by Oxford and Perth County EMS. The pick-up truck was driven by a male and had one male passenger. The van was driven by a male and had seven male passengers and one female passenger. Injuries reported were all non-life threatening in nature.

The Zorra Township Fire Department attended the scene to provide assistance.

The male driver of the pick-up truck, Saul UNSAL, 21-years-of-age, of Kitchener has been charged with Fail to Yield, contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
