Barrie Police conducted a RIDE program on the evening of Friday December 19th.
The five Barrie Officers stopped approximately 400 cars in the south end of Barrie.
As a result, Police charged one suspended driver, one driver with no vehicle insurance and administered five roadside breath tests.
Barrie Police arrested a 19 year old Barrie male for impaired driving and transported him to the Barrie Police Service for breath tests. The male provided samples that were almost 2.5 times the legal limit of 80mgs/100ml.
Barrie Police also arrested a second male for impaired driving and transported him to the Barrie Police Service for breath tests. This 22 year old male provided samples that were almost 3 (three) times the legal limit of 80mgs/100ml.
Both males were given a January court date and released after sobering up.
