(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment and Haldimand County Fire Department were called to a single motor vehicle collision at a Haldimand Road #9, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Tuesday December 1st, 2015 at approximately 3:20 pm Emergency Services were called to a crash scene at Haldimand Road #9 and Fifth Line Road were a silver Ford SUV left the road and rolled several times before striking a guide wire utility pole.
Investigation has revealed that the silver Ford SUV being operated by 19 year old Heather HAWORTH of Haldimand County, ON was travelling southbound on Haldimand Road #9 just north of Fifth Line Road when it crossed the north bound lane entered the east ditch and rolled over several times before striking a guide wire utility pole. As a result of the collision a 1 year old female passenger identified as Everleigh HAWORTH – BATTICE sustained life threatening injuries and was transported to hospital by Haldimand County Paramedics after receiving emergency medical aid.
On Monday December 7th, 2015 Everleigh HAWORTH – BATTICE was pronounced deceased at Hospital where she had been since the collision. .
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the investigation.
Haldimand Road #9 was closed to through traffic between Fourth Line Road and York Road and will remain closed for several hours to allow for investigation.
The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
