(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On December 17, 2013 at approximately 8:00pm Quinte West OPP officers responded to a call regarding a male party that had a firearm explode in his hands.
The 19 year old male party from Murray Ward had made his own ammunition for his newly purchased firearm. The male was test firing the rifle outside his home when the gun exploded. He was transported to hospital via ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The incident has been deemed not suspicious by police.
