(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged an 18 year old female with drinking and driving offences after investigating a single vehicle collision at a Powell Lane, Cayuga, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Friday February 26th, 2016 at approximately 4:30 am Police were contacted to attend a fail to remain single motor vehicle collision on Powell Lane.
Investigation revealed that a black 2007 Chevrolet car being operated by an 18 year old female was travelling on Powell Lane when it left the road, struck a fence and then left the scene. Police later located the driver and vehicle. No injuries were sustained to the lone driver. While Police were speaking with the driver signs of impairment were detected which led to her arrest.
Charged with Impaired driving, driving over the legal limit of alcohol, fail to stop at scene of accident, novice driver – BAC above zero, and person under 19 consuming liquor is 18 year old Justice McCULLY of Haldimand County, ON. She is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
