(CHAPLEAU, ON) – On Sunday January 3, 2016 the Superior East Chapleau Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a complaint of a Domestic incident which had occurred in the Community of Chapleau Ontario.
As a result of this investigation police arrested a 19 year old Chapleau male and charged him with the following offences;
9 Counts of adult Assault- Spousal contrary to section 266 of the Criminal Code of Canada
Adult overcome resistance by choking contrary to section 246(a) of the CCC
Adult Assault with a weapon contrary to section 267(a) of the CCC
2 Counts of Adult Sexual Assault contrary to section 271 of the CCC
Adult Forcible confinement contrary to section 279(2) of the CCC
5 Counts of Adult Mischief contrary to section 430(4) of the CCC
Adult Criminal Harassment contrary to section 264(2)(d) of the CCC
The accused was transported to Timmins Ontario for a bail hearing.
