(NORTH BAY, ON) – On January 12, 2016, at approximately 1:00 p.m., a collision involving a car and a train was reported to North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). The collision happened on Highway 11, City of North Bay, when a car failed to stop at a train crossing and collided with a train. The train signal lights were activated at the time.
The car had two occupants, and neither was injured.
The driver, Carson ALLAIR, 19, North Bay, Ontario, was charged with Disobey Railway Crossing Signal-Fail to Stop, section 163(1) of the Highway Traffic Act.
The highway was closed for approximately 30 minutes.
