19 Year Old Caught Going 142 In An 80

(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On February 6, 2017 at approximately 9:20 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar and monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road in the City of Guelph. The officer observed a northbound 2009 Toyota travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 142 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.

19-year-old Xave WARNER of Mississauga has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 1, 2017. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
