(GUELPH, ON) – On March 8, 2016 at approximately 10:35 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Laird Road, Guelph and observed a female driving a 2015 Toyota northbound well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 134 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
19-year-old Katelyn BAKOS of Delhi has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. She is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 16, 2016 to answer to the charge.
