(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – Huron OPP officers along with Huron County Paramedics and Lucknow Fire Department members responded to the scene of a two vehicle collision late last night. Just after 11:00 p.m. emergency service personnel responded to the collision located on Lucknow Line between Belfast Road and Belgrave Road.
Officers located a horse drawn buggy with extensive damage on the roadway and a silver Dodge pickup truck in the west ditch. Officers learned an 18 year old male driver from West Perth was travelling southbound on Lucknow Line in poor weather conditions when he collided with the horse drawn carriage that was also travelling southbound on Lucknow Line.
Two of the three occupants in the horse drawn buggy sustained injuries. A 17 year old male from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh was transported to London Health Sciences Center with non-life threatening injuries and a 17 year old male from Huron-Kinloss was transported to Alexandra & Marine General Hospital in Goderich with minor injuries.
The driver of the pickup truck was uninjured.
