18 Year Old Female Facing Assault With Weapon Charge After Throwing Coffee At McDonalds

On January 21, 2016 at 12:58 p.m., Guelph Police observed a fight between two females at McDonalds located on Gordon Street. Police separated the involved females. It is alleged that one of the females threw the coffee she had just ordered at the other female, the physical fight ensued.

Shirley-Anne Hack, 18 years of Guelph has been charged with assault with a weapon. She will appear in court on March 1, 2016.

Attempt break and enter

On January 21, 2016 at 6:16 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Surrey Street East residence to investigate an attempt break and enter. The resident woke up to find a male trying to get into his back door. The male left the area and was last seen heading in the direction of downtown. He was described as wearing a black and white plaid jacket with a red and white tuque.

Theft from cars

On January 21, 2016 the Guelph Police received three reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Dawson Road, Queen Street and Fairview Boulevard.

This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
