(PEMBROKE, ON) – On February 18, 2016 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, with the assistance of OPP’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the City of Pembroke. As a result one adult was arrested and a quantity of drugs was seized. A significant quantity of Canadian currency was also seized. As a result 18 year old Eric YARASKAVITCH of Pembroke is charged with the following CDSA offences:
Possession of Schedule I Substance – Codeine
Possession of Schedule III Substance – LSD
Possession of Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin – 2 counts
Possession of Schedule II Substance for the Purposes of Trafficking – Marihuana
Produce a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Resin
He was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released on a Recognizance of Bail on February 19, 2016. He is scheduled to appear on March 08, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
