(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged an 18 year old male with numerous charges after conducting a traffic stop at an Argyle St. Caledonia, Haldimand County, ON address.
On Saturday June 27th, 2015 at approximately 5:55 am Police received a call of a suspicious blue Chev car in the Argyle St area. As a result of patrols the suspect vehicle was located and stopped at the corner of Argyle and Haddington Streets.
While speaking with the driver signs of alcohol consumption were detected which resulted in a breath demand being requested.
Further investigation also revealed Highway Traffic Act violations.
Charged with 2 counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance, Fail to Provide Breath Sample, Novice Driver – BAC above Zero, Novice Driver – Refuse Roadside Breath Sample, Operate motor vehicle on highway – no insurance and Having care and control of motor vehicle with open liquor is 18 year old Brandon NICHOLAS of Six Nations of the Grand River First Nation. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
