(BLANDFORD BLENHEIM, ON.) – On April 30, 2015 shortly after 5:30 a.m., the Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle collision involving a Ford Mustang and a transport truck, on Highway 401 westbound near Oxford Road 3.
Through police investigation it was determined that the female driver of the Ford had struck the rear of the transport truck and came to rest in the ditch following the collision. No injuries were reported. The driver of the Ford was subsequently found to be impaired and was arrested. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and her vehicle impounded for 7 days.
Shannon DELANEY, 18 years old, of Woodstock, is charged with the following:
· Operate a Motor Vehicle – Over 80 mgs. of alcohol in blood
· Operate a Motor Vehicle – Impaired
The accused was released on an Appearance Notice with a future court date.
