(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On September 9, 2015 at approximately 1:42 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer from the Traffic Management Unit (TMU) observed a male driving a 2006 Mitsubishi on Wellington Road 125 near Wellington Road 50, Town of Erin well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 142km/h.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
18-year-old Austin BOGART from the Town of Erin has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on October 7, 2015.
