(PUSLINCH TOWNSHIP, ON) – On February 4, 2017 at approximately 7:01 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar and monitoring traffic on Arkell road near Watson Road in Puslinch Township. The officer observed an eastbound 2004 Infiniti travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 133 km/h in a 70 km/h zone.
18-year-old Ian TOMAS of Guelph has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and will appear in Guelph Provincial Court on March 15, 2017. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
