18 Year Old Buzzed Driver Caught

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A complaint of a possible impaired driver has resulted in an 18 year old female being served a three day driver’s licence suspension along with two tickets. On May 26, 2013 shortly before 9:00 p.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Perth OPP officers were notified of a driver that had just left a convenience store in Mitchell that was suspected to be impaired.

A few minutes later a Huron OPP officer spotted the suspect vehicle, a Chevrolet Cavalier travelling westbound on Thames Road East near Plugtown Line. Upon speaking with the driver it was noted she had been drinking alcohol and was displaying signs she was impaired by alcohol. She was arrested for impaired operation and transported to the Exeter OPP Detachment for breath tests. She provided two breath samples in the warn range.

An 18 year old female from West Perth was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension, a ticket for Person Under 19 years Consuming Liquor and Novice Driver Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) Above Zero. Her licence has been suspended for three days and her motor vehicle was towed.
