17 Year Old Drinking Driver Caught Going 125 In A 70 In Whitechurch

(KINLOSS TWP, ON) – On September 23, 2016 at 10:35 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 86 in Kinloss Township noticed a Grey Chevrolet Silverado travelling at a high rate of speed through the hamlet of Whitechurch. The vehicle’s speed was displayed on radar at more than 125 km/h in a posted 70 km/h zone. After stopping the vehicle, the officer found open alcohol and a quantity of illegal street drugs. The 17 year old driver was charged with race a motor vehicle, drive with open alcohol, novice driver with blood alcohol over zero and possess a controlled substance. The driver cannot be identified under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
