(Bancroft, Ontario) – On Friday August 15th 2014, the Bancroft detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a break and enter at Jungle Imports on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft. A window was reported damaged and property stolen from the business.
Investigation into the incident has resulted in charges being laid against a 17 year old male young person from Madoc Township. The young person has been charged with:
Break and enter
Mischief under $5000
Theft under $5000
He was released from custody on a promise to appear with conditions and is scheduled to appear in youth court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on the 18th of December 2014.
The male charged is a young person and his name cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
