(CHATHAM-KENT, ON) On December 15, 2014, at 6:00 p.m., Chatham-Kent Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to a traffic complaint involving a Chevrolet pickup driving erratically on Park Avenue in Chatham.
Officers located the vehicle on Creek Road and conducted a traffic stop.
Subsequent OPP traffic investigation at roadside revealed that two of the passengers were not wearing a seatbelt. Further investigation led to the seizure of a small amount of suspected marihuana.
A 17 year old female, from Tilbury, has been charged with Possession of Marihuana. She will appear in a Chatham court at a later date to answer to the charge.
Two 15 year old female passengers, from Tilbury, have been charged with failing to occupy a position with a seatbelt.
The 18 year old male driver, from Lakeshore, has been charged with driving while crowded.
