(TOWNSHIP OF PUSLINCH, ON) – On April 2, 2017 at approximately 10:35 p.m., a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on Highway 6 near Maltby Road in the Township of Puslinch. The officer observed a male driving a 2012 Hyundai travelling at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 136 km/h in an 80 km/h zone.
A 17-year-old youth has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court May 17, 2017 to answer to the charge. His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
