16 Year Old Thief Busted With Cocaine

Barrie police responded to the area of Essa Road and Gowan street when a local tow truck operator noticed an SUV had driven down the tracks instead of the street and had become incapacitated. The vehicle appeared abandoned to the witness.

Officers attended and located the 32 year old owner of the vehicle with the vehicle. The investigating officer believed grounds existed that the owner was operating the vehicle while impaired. She was arrested and transported to Barrie police headquarters for processing. At time of report the results of any breath samples were not yet available.

The train track involved was a Go train track and as such no train delays occurred as the first train was set to depart at 5 am

Barrie police arrested 3 young offenders in the area of Edgehill Drive and Fox Run who were in the process of stealing property from vehicles.

A 16 year old female was in the company of a 14 year old male and a 16 year old male while car hopping” in the area. the 16 year old male was also found in possession of a small amount of cocaine. Police have recovered a wallet
