16 Year Old Arrested For Break and Enter

(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On December 3, 2014 at approximately 10:37 a.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested a 16 year old male in relation to a break and enter that occurred on November 6, 2014 at a residence located on Erindale Drive in the Town of Erin. Police received information that the male was on the Elora/Cataract trail in the Town of Erin and that he was carrying a knapsack containing stolen property.

Investigation revealed that the male entered a residence, knowing the family was away and removed a quantity of items including a computer, jewelry, computer games, clothing as well as other miscellaneous items.

Further investigation revealed that the male was on a youth court probation order at the time of the offence.

Some of the stolen property was recovered at the time of the arrest.

The Town of Erin youth has been charged with Break and Enter and Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada as well as Fail to Comply with Disposition Order contrary to the Youth Criminal Justice Act. He will appear in Guelph Criminal Court to answer to the charges.
