(TOWNSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday July 22, 2014 around 3:30 a.m. an officer with the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting patrols on Perth Road 119 in the Village of Brunner when a car was observed travelling at an extremely high rate of speed. The officer utilized police radar and determined the car’s speed to be 155 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone. (This is 95 km/h above the posted speed limit).
The car was pulled over by the officer and the offending motorist, a 20 year old male from Langley BC was charged with “race a motor vehicleâ€Â. He is scheduled to appear in Stratford court on August 26, 2014 to answer to this charge. His driver’s licence was suspended for seven days, and his rental car has been impounded for a week.
