On July 24th 2016, at approximately 5:19 p.m., a 15 year old skateboard rider and a motor vehicle made contact at the intersection of Lexington Road and Malabar Drive, Waterloo. The contact caused the skateboarder to lose control and fall off. The rider suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Grand River Hospital. The involved motor vehicle left the scene. It is described as having a body kit and loud aftermarket muffler. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to call the Waterloo Regional Traffic Branch at 519-653-7700 ext. 8793.
