(RENFREW, ON) – Renfrew County Crime Unit of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges in a historical sexual assault case dating back to 1983. The victim contacted police in 2015 concerning the incident at a hunt camp in South Algonquin Township, west of Barry’s Bay, Ontario. The male victim was 15 years old at the time of the assault.
As a result of the investigation Stanley McBride age 73 of Peterborough Ontario was charged with administering a noxious substance and attempted sexual assault. He was issued a summons to appear in court in Killaloe on January 11, 2017.
