(SOUTH FRONTENAC TOWNSHIP) – On March 26, 2017 at approximately 04:05 am, the Frontenac detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover on Perth Road near Ritchie Road in the Township of South Frontenac.
A black Dodge Neon was on its roof in the west side ditch, a 19 year old female passenger was trapped in the vehicle. South Frontenac Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) were able to extract the female and she was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The 15 year old male driver sustained minor injuries. OPP arrested and charged the driver with: Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle Cause Bodily Harm under the Criminal Code.
The youth was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Youth Court at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kingston on April 18, 2017. The youth’s name cannot be released in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
