15 Year Old Caught With Stolen Property

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – A 15 year old teenager is a facing a charge of Possession of Stolen Property Under $5,000 after he was arrested on an outstanding warrant. On September 3, 2014 at 12:34 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers spotted the young male walking on Main Street, near the Exeter OPP Detachment.

Officers approached the male and arrested the male without incident. A search incident to arrest was completed and officers located a GPS system in the males’ backpack. Further investigation revealed the GPS system was stolen from an unlocked pickup truck that was parked on Andrew Street in Exeter.

As a result, a 15 year old male from Bluewater was charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with a Disposition. He has since been released from custody with a court appearance scheduled for the Ontario Youth Justice Court on October 9, 2014.
