15 Year Old Airlifted To Hospital After ATV Collision

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – At 8:26 pm on July 8, 2015 the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was contacted in regards to a collision involving an all-terrain vehicle (ATV).

Officers arrived at the scene, in the Burnt River area, and determined that a 15 year old male from Stayner, had been involved in a single vehicle collision. The driver was the sole occupant of the ATV involved in the collision; he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The male was transported, by air ambulance, to a Toronto area hospital, with major injuries.

The OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation (TCI) unit attended the scene to assist with the investigation. The investigation continues.
