(Mono ,ON) – On November. 30, 2014, at 5:25 pm an officer from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting speed enforcement in the Town of Mono. The officer observed a black 2004 Mazda travelling Northbound on Highway 10 near Dufferin County Rd #10 at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 149 km/hr. in a 80 km/hr. zone.
As a result of the traffic stop, 21 year old male of Mississauga, Ontario was charged with Stunt driving.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
