(SOUTH HURON, ON) – An alert witness contacted Huron OPP on November 10, 2012 just after 4:00 p.m. after observing two youth break into an abandoned home on Algonquin Drive in South Huron. The witness also observed the youth smash out a window and take off to a nearby residence.
Huron OPP officers responded to the scene and with the help of the witness they were able to locate and arrest both youth.
As a result of the investigation, police have charged a 14 year old male from South Huron with Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and a 15 year old male also from South Huron with Unlawfully in a Dwelling House and Fail to Comply with an Undertaking.
A court date is set for both at the Ontario Youth Justice Court – Goderich on January 10, 2013.
