(Mono,ON) -On December. 30, 2014 at 4:00 pm, an officer from the Dufferin Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting speed enforcement in the Town of Mono. The officer observed a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling eastbound on Hockley Road near 5th side road of Mono at a high rate of speed and determined that the driver was operating the vehicle at 131 km/hr. in a 50 km/hr. zone.
As a result of the traffic stop, 33 year old male of Caledon,Ontario was charged with stunt driving.
The vehicle was impounded for seven days as a result of the stunt driving charge.
The driver is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville at a later date.
