(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment investigated an incident after being called to a Queensway West, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at approximately 8:11 p.m., police were called to The Shire Restaurant for a report of a sexual assault.
Through the course of investigation, it was determined that an unknown male approached a table with three (3) children under the age of 16 and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old female. The 41-year-old mother returned to the table where the male then sexually assaulted her before exiting the restaurant in an unknown direction.
The male is described as white, late twenties (20’s) approximately 5’10, average build with red/dirty blonde hair and beard. He was wearing a black coloured jacket, jeans with a black and white hat with grey coloured shoes.
On Monday, April 10, 2017, the male attended the Norfolk County Detachment where he was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 28-year-old Tyler Kevin CHAMBERS of Norfolk County, Ontario with sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age and two (2) counts of sexual assault.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
