(MIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, with assistance from the Oxford County OPP Crime Unit, the Elgin County OPP Crime Unit, and the London Police Service (LPS), have charged a 40-year-old male with property related offences.
The incidents under investigation involve thirteen commercial break, enter, and theft incidents, which occurred between February 22, 2016 and March 9, 2016:
Five in Middlesex County, Ontario: three in Middlesex Centre, and two in Thames Centre
Three in Oxford County, Ontario: one in Southwest Oxford Township, one in Zorra Township, and one in Ingersoll
Two in Elgin County, Ontario: one in Central Elgin, and one in Southwold Township
Three in London, Ontario: two in west London, and one in south London
As a result of the coordinated police investigation, Martin MOORE, from London, Ontario, faces a total of thirty one Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) charges:
Break, enter a place – commit indictable offence X9
Possession break in instruments X 9
Break, enter a place – with intent to commit indictable offence X4
Possession property obtained by crime over $5000 X4
Possession property obtained by crime under $5000 – in Canada X1
Disguise with intent X1
Driving while disqualified X3
Police also recovered a vehicle (a grey Ford pickup truck), which was reported stolen to the LPS, and clothing, which was stolen in one of the break and enters in Thames Centre, Ontario.
The accused has been held in custody, and is scheduled to appear in a London court on March 17, 2016 to answer to the charges.
