126 in a 70 Results In Vehicle Being Seized

On Thursday 08 August, 2013 at approximately 10:57p.m., a member of the Guelph Police Traffic Services Unit was operating a stealth” cruiser southbound on Highway #6 near Wellington Street West. The officer was passed by a 2000 Toyota travelling at a high rate of speed. The mobile radar unit was activated and the car registered a speed of 126 km/h in the posted 70 km/h zone.

The motor vehicle was stopped without incident near College Avenue West.
A 20-year-old Guelph male is charged with the Highway Traffic Act offences of Speeding and Stunt Driving-Excessive Speed. He will be appearing in the Guelph Provincial Offences Court during the month of October.
